about

Spyn Reset released their second full length album “Four Dimensional Audio” in 2012. This album is a self-produced album combining collaboration and improvisation within a throughly-composed work of art.

credits

released January 7, 2012

The album was produced and engineered by Geoff Ott (engineer for Queen of the Stone Age, Three Doors Down, etc) of “London Bridge Studio” and mastered by Steve Turnidge (Ultraviolet Studios, The Recording Academy).
Building on the collaboration of four eclectic musicians, Spyn Reset in 2011 evolved their sound toward Progressive Electronic Instrumental composition exploring the Moog Synthesizer, Fender Rhodes Piano, Bass, Drums, Percussion, and Vibes. Bands in the genre of Spyn Reset include Sound Tribe Sector 9, Garage a Trois, Lotus, Battles, Jaga Jazzist, Medeski Martin and Wood, Mars Volta, and Daft Punk.

about

Spyn Reset Seattle, Washington

"This Electro-prog-gamecore band breezes through groovy workouts in odd time signatures, conjuring the sounds of Medeski, Scofield, Martin and Wood as if fronted by Daft Punk, all while covering the Contra theme song." - The Deli Magazine

Track Name: Raindrops Radio Edit
Verse 1:
Contemplate debate amongst inner strife/1. introduce career: making something of your life/2. throw in becoming the ideal husband or wife/3. while beating down the stabs in your back from past lies/and if at any time/one outweighs the other,/it becomes half a dozen one way/the other fought over by your lover/smother everything that seems to be true/but at least come back to the whole point of what you’ve lived through/in any case, this place isn’t as great as they say;/darkest of nights and most productive of days/no sunshine but grown more than ever before in these gray rays,/making for a glazed haze of a maze/where I’m still amazed at how I graze/ on grass that’s greener on the other side/of what’s left of my pride/(pay no mind to what’s behind)/at least it’s seems to be, well comparatively speaking/seems to gleam like the slate mighta been washed and cleaned/all depends on which way you lean/that determines the outcome of all your dreams/so while the focus now rests on my next move/I breathe easy I was born to groove to anything that’s smooth/exactly why I rock out to my own tune/in a world where it seems we’ve all run out of room/if I could, I’d just spin and reset/half willing to bet the best hasn’t even happened yet/I’m content

Hook:
not too loud, not too soft, not too loud, these raindrops, these raindrops (are polished)

Verse 2:
And yet feeling stuck and movin in slow motion/but keep tellin myself somehow my character’s growin/not that it means much to a society that’s blowin/smoke like life’s a joke that has no point to where it’s goin/don’t get me wrong-the irony is it is kind of funny/how much trust we place in fame and money/And lookin back I wish I’d faced up sooner/but what can I say? I guess I’m a late bloomer/they say better late than never/so with whatever comes your way be clever/ enough to know it’s on with the show/hangin onto this rope of hope that it has to get better/get it together/can’t keep on blaming the weather forever/
